- The son of poor Oklahoma sharecroppers, Nayt and his family were forced off their land in the 1930s and set out for California in a vain attempt to find work. No, wait, that was Tom Joad in the Grapes of Wrath. Nayt Brookes was born in a Cincinnati suburb and spent his formative years developing a strong moral foundation by watching lots of television. Consequently, he has the attention span of a common house fly and has dabbled in several trades and hobbies without mastering any of them. At the age of four, Nayt so enjoyed watching the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant burn he decided to learn how things work and why they fail. As a result he is a compulsive tinkerer, and can't leave anything alone without at least trying to see how it works. Nayt has a passion for the Macintosh and currently owns eight Macs. While he doesn't see a problem with that, some members of his family feel it's time for an intervention. When asked to describe Nayt, his friends often highlight his mastery in the art of Leglimency. Nayt enjoys cycling, skiing and all night sessions of networked Starcraft.
